Report on Co-curricular Activities 2018-19

Co-curricular refers to activities, programs and learning experiences that complement, in some way what students are learning in school, i. e, experiences that are connected to or mirror the academic curriculum. Co-curricular activities enhance and build on children’s experiences and learning within the school. The activities will contribute to their intellectual, social, cultural and emotional growth.

Co-cuurricular activity list of all proposed activities for the year 2018-19 is prepared and placed on the school website and Diary also.

Co-curricular activities in 2018-19 academic year are:

1. 1. Inter House English Essay Writing: An essay writing competition was held for the students of VI to XI Classes on 19 June 2018 . The Essay was judged on the basis of the students vocabulary, presentations and creativity. The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to enhance their thinking and writing skills.
2. Recitation Competition: Poem Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the talents of the young one” This competition was held on 20thjuly 2018.
3. Inter House Hindi Essay writing :Hindi Essay writing was conducted on 6th July 2018. VI to XI class children were activity participated. Creating a flow in writing an essay, is an art. Students think of, essay writing is best ,to achieve knowledge through writing. Essay writing helps, in motivating the intelligence and leads to academic development. In this way the students can polish their Hindi writing skills.
4. Spell bee: Students participated with great enthusiasm. This competition was a wonderful learning source not only for the participants but also for their peers. Spell it out round in which the participants had to correctly spell the word without writing it down. This competition was held on 12th July 2018.
5. Story Telling : It’s aim is to enhance confidence and speaking skills of the Students. Bhadrachalam public school on 20th July 2018 organized a English Story Telling Competition for the students of classes from Preprimary &Primary III,IV&V. Many students participated form various sections in the competition. The students narrated the moral based strories. Enthusiasm and passion of the students were also witnessed by teachers and judges.
6. Story Telling : It’s aim is to enhance confidence and speaking skills of the Students. Bhadrachalam public school on 20th July 2018 organized a English Story Telling Competition for the students of classes from Preprimary &Primary III,IV&V.
